Wat als je de tools had om jouw inzichten om te zetten in een oplossing die écht gebruikt wordt door zorgverleners en patiënten?
Mis dan zeker de Kick-off van Need2MedTech niet — het innovatieprogramma dat je helpt om precies dat te doen.
WAT IS NEED2MEDTECH?
Need2MedTech is een gloednieuw innovatieprogramma aan de Universiteit Gent. Het begeleidt je van klinische noden tot technologische oplossingen — en mogelijk zelfs tot een toekomstige spin-off. Via klinische immersie, praktische workshops en coaching rond business development en regelgeving leer je hoe je wetenschappelijke inzichten omzet in iets tastbaars, waardevols en impactvols.
(PhD-studenten: deze cursus maakt deel uit van het Doctoral Schools-programma.)
WAT KUN JE VERWACHTEN VAN DE KICK-OFF?
Tijdens deze open infosessie stellen we het Need2MedTech-programma aan je voor en leggen we uit hoe het werkt. Je ontdekt of het iets voor jou is en maakt kennis met gelijkgestemde innovators tijdens de netwerkreceptie met een drankje.
VOOR WIE?
Iedereen is welkom! Of je nu gewoon nieuwsgierig bent of al klaar bent om erin te duiken — sluit je aan om meer te weten te komen.
Het volledige Need2MedTech-programma richt zich op doctoraatsstudenten in hun 3e of 4e jaar, of postdocs aan de UGent die werken rond medische innovatie of er een sterke passie voor hebben.

WHAT IS NEED2MEDTECH?
Need2MedTech is a brand-new innovation program at Ghent University. It guides you from clinical needs to technological solutions — and potentially, a future spin-off. Through a clinical immersion, hands-on workshops and business & regulatory coaching you’ll learn to turn scientific insights into something tangible, valuable, and impactful.

During this open info session, we’ll introduce the Need2MedTech program and how it works. You’ll explore whether it’s the right fit for you — and connect with like-minded innovators over drinks at the networking reception.

The full Need2MedTech program is aimed at 3rd or 4th year PhD students or postdocs at UGent who are involved in research relevant to medical innovation or have a strong passion for it.
