[FWO][China] Oproep voor mobiliteitsprojecten met China | Call for mobility projects with China

Er staat een nieuwe oproep open voor mobiliteitsprojecten met China (NSFC).

Samenwerking met partners uit China moet een toegevoegde waarde hebben voor het project.

Uitwisselingen met specifieke aandacht voor junior onderzoekers: in elk project dient aan Vlaamse zijde minstens één junior onderzoeker een verblijf uit te voeren naar China. Deze junior onderzoeker is een PhD student of een postdoctoraal onderzoeker met maximum 12 jaar postdoc ervaring (eerste doctoraatsdiploma mag max. 12 jaar vóór de uiterste indiendatum (26/06/2025) van het project verworven zijn, te tellen vanaf de datum waarop het doctoraatsdiploma werd verkregen).
Bedrag: elke partij staat in voor de volledige vergoeding van de kosten van de eigen onderzoekers (verplaatsing, logements- en verblijfskosten):
FWO betaalt aan de onderzoekers uit Vlaanderen een verblijfsvergoeding van € 66/dag (of max. € 1.650 per maand) bovenop de verplaatsingskosten naar/vanuit China, te boeken bij een door het FWO gemachtigd reisagentschap.
NSFC betaalt aan de onderzoekers uit China op projectniveau (voor de totale looptijd van twee jaar) een totaalbedrag van 100.000 RMB tot 150.000 RMB (ongeveer € 13.000 tot € 18.700) om de internationale reiskosten van de Chinese onderzoeker(s) te dekken naar/vanuit België en de verblijfs- en logementskosten.

The FWO has opened a new call for mobility projects with China (NSFC).

Project duration: 2 years (01/01/2026 – 31/12/2027)
Applications for fundamental basic research in the following disciplines are welcome:

Collaboration with partners from China must have an added value for the project.

Exchanges with special attention to junior researchers: in each project at Flemish side at least one junior researcher should perform an exchange to China. This junior researcher is a PhD student or a postdoctoral researcher with no more than 12 years of postdoctoral experience (first PhD degree can be obtained max. 12 years before the submission deadline (26/06/2025) of the project, to be counted from the date of obtaining the doctoral degree).
Funding: each party bears the full costs of its own researchers (travel, accommodation and living expenses):
FWO offers researchers from Flanders a daily living allowance of € 66 (or max. €1,650 per month) on top of the travel expenses towards/from China, to be booked through a travel agency authorized by the FWO.
NSFC pays the researchers from China on the project level (for the total duration of two years) a total amount of 100,000 RMB to 150,000 RMB (about € 13,000 to € 18,700) to cover the international travel expenses of the Chinese researcher(s) towards/from Belgium and the living and accommodation expenses.
